Tampa, United States – Masonite International Corporation, a global designer, manufacturer, marketer and distributor of interior and exterior doors, announced the expansion of its M-Pwr Smart Doors home builder portfolio with the addition of five new builder partners. Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors are the residential exterior doors to integrate power, LED welcome lights, a video doorbell and a smart lock into the door system.
“We’re thrilled to work with these great builders and are excited to bring this next level of smart home technology to more homeowners with Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors,” says Tom Arent, vice president of sales, residential wholesale. “We intend to continue expanding the availability of these Doors That Do More for homeowners with additional builders in the near future.”
The five new home builder partners offer Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors in communities from coast to coast including those listed below:
Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors employ patent-pending, underwriters laboratories (UL) certified technology to connect residential front doors to a home’s electrical system and wireless internet network. To ensure that the doors are “always on” in the event of a power outage, an emergency backup battery can sustain system power up to 24 hours when fully charged. The Masonite M-Pwr smartphone app enables homeowners to remotely program and control motion-activated LED welcome lighting as well as to confirm whether the door is open or closed at any time.
As a result of previously announced collaborations with Ring and Yale Home, Masonite has integrated technology into the first edition of M-Pwr Smart Doors. The fully integrated ring video doorbells and Yale smart locks do not require individual batteries, eliminating the need for battery replacement in these devices. The advanced technology of the doors is incorporated into fibreglass doors that are available in a variety of styles, colors and finishes, including multiple glass options to complement any home design.
Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors will be showcased at the 2022 CEDIA Expo in Dallas, Texas from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in booths #16087 (RING) and #20068 (Z-Wave Pavilion), as well as the Masonite meeting room in the Omni Dallas Hotel’s Trinity Ballroom 6.
