SEIDOR acquires Opentrends; strengthens cloud application transformation strategy

Palo Alto, United States. 15 September, 2022 – SEIDOR and Opentrends announced a merger agreement under which SEIDOR will acquire Opentrends, a digital transformation company specialising in cloud applications, customer experience solutions, and digital product design and development, thus reinforcing its strategy in these areas.

The business technology consulting firm is also strengthening its expertise in adopting new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and in areas such as Smart Cities or the Connected Car. In addition, both companies are consolidating their commitment to innovation, design, and digital product development, the main focus of Opentrends’ activities in the U.S.

Opentrends has a high degree of specialisation in the public sector and large multinational companies, including banking, automotive, education, manufacturing, and consumer goods.

This merger further enables SEIDOR to reinforce its presence in the USA and also incorporates a development centre in Kerala. This allows SEIDOR to extend its global capabilities in developing applications and put them at the service of its customers worldwide.

SEIDOR will also expand its offering with Opentrends’ digital agency services, which operate under the name Failfast and specialises in user experience (UX), visual design (UI), creativity, and digital content.

The current Opentrends management team will lead the area from the operation dedicated to developing advanced applications in the cloud, which will have a team of more than 500 professionals. Likewise, based on the data at the end of 2021, the aggregate annual revenue of the new unit exceeds [$49.9 million (€50.02 million)].

In the words of Josep Benito, CEO of SEIDOR, “The integration of the Opentrends management team and consultants in SEIDOR allows us to continue driving our growth in specialised areas, such as the development of cloud applications and digital transformation, offering customers the best technology services in the market, as well as strengthening our international capillarity, thanks to our direct presence in India and the USA.”

For his part, Xavier Buscallà, CEO of Opentrends Inc. and director of SEIDOR’s new business unit, says that “our integration into SEIDOR realises prime opportunity to grow our business and provide higher value to our current and new clientele, with a focus on application architecture and the transformation of solutions in the cloud.”

“This merger recognises our successful track record and will also accelerate the professional development of both Opentrends and SEIDOR teams,” Buscallà adds.

With this deal, SEIDOR continues strengthening its partnership with Opentrends’ main international technology providers, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Adobe, Liferay, and Drupal.
