Sunderland, UK. August 28, 2012 — Tenders are being invited for a contract to supply assistive technologies, a contact centre software system and associated services to support telehealth and telecare provisions for a city council in northern England.
Sunderland City Council in the north east of England is looking to procure the implementation and support of an assistive technologies software platform and associated services for the elderly. As a minimum, it is expected that this will encompass telecare and telehealth services.
Telecare offers a 24/7, all year round emergency service for potentially vulnerable people to help them live independently for longer. Telehealth helps people with medical conditions — both short and long term — to self-manage their conditions with support from specialist clinical staff. The overall assistive technologies solution and support services will be needed to help the city council to deliver the best service to as many residents as possible.
The time limit for receipt of requests for documents or for accessing documents is September 10, 2012.
